During the month of May (13th), Nurse B— was notified
to be suffering from Diphtheria, and was removed to the Metropolitan
Asylums Board Hospital. As the disease had, owing to
the measures taken by the middle of April, shown marked evidence
of abatement, and that although some cases still were under
isolation in which Diphtheria organisms were present without
any clinical evidence of Diphtheria, these cases were isolated in a
separate Ward at the top of Block "C," from which they were
not discharged until repeated bacteriological examination failed to
