The number of deaths on the Estate was 6 as compared with 17 in 1907. The causes of death were as follows:—
Bronchitis | 2 |
Appendicitis | 1 |
Heart Disease | 1 |
Hemiplegia | 1 |
Congenital defect | 1 |
The death-rate per 1,000 of the population on the Estate was
4.1, as compared with 11.5 in 1907.
It should be remembered, however, that these figures are
small, and consequently, for statistical purposes, of little value.
It is sufficient to state that, from my own knowledge, the population
on this Estate compares favourably with that of the rest of
the Borough as regards the standard of health prevailing.
