The number of fatal cases was 4 or 16.7 per cent. of the cases notified.
The death-rate per 1000 population was 0.04; 14 patients, or
58 per cent. of the total cases notified, were removed to hospital.
The sanitary condition of each house in which a case of
Enteric Fever occurred was investigated and the following defects
were discovered:—
Drains defective 3
Soil pipes defective 2
Water supply defective 2
Other defects 4
