ENTERIC FEVER.
This was practically the only disease which showed an increase when compared
with the corrected average of the number of the notifications. Altogether 259 cases
were notified as against a corrected average 253, or an increase of 6. This
increase is more than accounted for by the 13 cases that occurred in the Workhouse
(Boys) Schools, Hornsey Road.
The case-rate was 073 per 1,000, as against a mean rate in the preceding nine
years of 0.71. In London the case-rate was 0.94 per 1,000, and in the Encircling
Districts 1.07.
