the Public Institutions of Islington are excluded from these returns, while the deaths of 553 persons
who had died outside the district are included.
SEASONAL MORTALITY.
The mortality in the several quarters has already been fully set out in the
quarterly returns which have been issued, from which it appears that the smallest
number of deaths occurred in the third quarter, when 1,221 were registered, and
the highest in the first quarter, when 1,819 were registered. In the second quarter
there were 1,390 deaths, and in the fourth 1,291.
