N.B.—Chicken-pox was made, by special order of the London County Council, a compulsorily notifiable
disease on February 7th, 1902, and remained so until January 6th, 1903. During 1903 (up to January 6th,
1903), 40 cases were compulsorily notified by medical men, and 316 other cases of the same disease were
voluntarily notified also during the year.
