BAKEHOUSES.
There are 214 Bakehouses (135 above ground and 79 underground)
situated within the Borough of Lambeth, and these have
been inspected during 1903, and the necessary annual whitewashing
and cleaning carried out. The Underground Bakehouses
have also received special attention during 1903 in
accordance with the requirements of Section 101 of the Factory
and Workshop Act 1901.
