According to the reports of the Public Analyst the water
supplied by both Companies in the months of January,
February, May, August and September, was of "fair" or
" tolerably fair " quality ; the Lambeth Company's water on
13th October and on 3rd December was of " tolerably fair "
quality, and the samples of both Companies taken in March
showed the water to be in a condition " approaching
