Fur-pulling;
The making of iron and steel cables and chains;
The making of iron and steel anchors and grapnels ;
The making of cart gear, including swivels, rings, loops,
gear buckles, mullin bits, hooks, and attachments of
all kinds;
The making of locks, latches and keys.
The names and addresses of 252 out-workers were received
during the year. Lists were sent in by employers and by the
Medical Officers of Health of the following Metropolitan
Boroughs:—

Thirty-three out-workers whose names were sent in by
employers were found to live outside Battersea, and their names
and addresses were sent to the Medical Officers of Health of
the respective districts.
The premises occupied by the out-workers are registered
and regularly inspected. The appended table shows the number
of such places which have been registered, together with the
trades and the number of persons employed:—
