UNDERGROUND BAKEHOUSES.
Your Public Health Committee had under consideration
the question as to the alterations and
amendments that should be required before certificates
of fitness were granted for the existing underground
bakehouses.
Acting upon the instruction of the Public Health
Committee, I presented the following report on the
subject.
Special Report of the Medical Officer of Health in reference
to the Underground Bakehouses in the Borough of
Hammersmith.

Gentlemen,
I beg to report to you that, in accordance with your instructions,
I have visited and inspected the whole of the underground
bakehouses, known at present to be in use in the
Borough.
