SLAUGHTER-HOUSES.
The following list shows the number of licenses granted by
the London County Council in October, 1902: —

SALE OF FOOD AND DRUGS ACTS.
The total number of samples purchased during the year
1902 and submitted to the Public Analyist for the borough,
was 300. The following is a list of the samples taken, with the
number found to be adulterated:—

In addition to the 20 adulterated samples there were 7
offences under the Margarine Acts (for not marking, &c.) and
1 offence for refusing to serve the Inspector (for which a fine of
£10 and 12s. costs was inflicted).
