The figures for 1902 show a marked reduction on those of
the previous year, but otherwise the above table gives little
cause for congratulation, and it would seem that measures of
prevention, more special and definitely directed than those
which have hitherto been employed, are needed to attack this
disease.
The total number of deaths from Tuberculosis in 1902 was 299, as compared with 351 in 1901. The deaths from the various forms of the disease were as follows :—
