Unpaved Carriageways.
The outlay for the maintenance of this description
of roads has not been affected during the past year to
a serious extent, owing to the Tramway Company's
work; but the outlay for the current will be considerably
reduced, about 1000 tons of granite being saved
on the Mile End Road, and the work having supplied
312 yards of granite, and 1149 yards of gravel available
for all gravel roads.
