The following statement of the Inspector of Nuisances
will show to the Vestry that strong efforts have been made
and are being made to effect the object for which the Sanitary
Inspector was appointed. It is necessary to observe
that the statement does not comprise the whole of that
which has been effected in the shape of sanitary improvement;
only that which has passed the formal routine of
notice serving, orders from magistrates, etc. Much more
has been and is continually being done by persons who
