Parish of Streatham.
Infantile Death-Rate.
The deaths of infants under one year of age numbered
176 or 137.8 per 1,000 of the births registered.
This is in excess of former years and is chiefly
attributable to the epidemics of measles and whooping
cough which prevailed during the year under report.
The following compares the infantile death-rates of the last six years.

Compared with the previous year the deaths
amongst the gentry, industrial and labouring classes were
slightly lower, on the other hand, the mortality was
higher in the middle and trading classes.
