Mortality.
The usual method has again been followed in
Table III. of classifying all deaths registered
within the sub-district, according to sex, age and social
position. It is satisfactory to find that even with our
increased population, absolutely fewer deaths were registered
than during the previous year. Of the total number of
252, 71 were infants under 12 months, which is equal to
28*1 per cent, of the total number. Under five years of
age there were 109 deaths registered, equal to 43*2 per
