School Influences.
Both Diphtheria anil Scarlet Fever being especially diseases
of children, we must expect that the daily aggregation of such
individuals will tend to widen its prevalence, especially as, not
infrequently, the disease being of a mild type, children actually
suffering have been found to be attending school.
The following tables give the number of children in actual
attendance at each school who were notified in each month as
suffering from Scarlet Fever and Diphtheria, and Table XXIII.
