There is a decided fall in the zymotic death-rate therefore
since 1893. Taking into account the 70 deaths
from zymotic diseases that occurred in outlying institutions
(see Table IV.) we get a total of 401 deaths and a
mortality of 2.28 compared with 3.l and 3.05 in the two
preceding years.
