Medical Officer's Report.
THE NOTIFICATION AND PREVENTION OF INFECTIOUS
DISEASE.
During the year there were notified 283 cases of infectious disease: the
corresponding number for 1895, 1896, and 1897 being 333, 280, and 339
respectively.

The numbers of the separate diseases were :—
