The wood-paved carriageways have had the usual and proper attention, as also the macadamized and (lint roads in the matter of cleansing. A proposal is now before the Cartage Committee to have regular all-night scavenging so as to relieve the day work, and carry out the work with greater expedition and regularity, and there is but little doubt this is a scheme which will be an advantageous one.
