Deaths.—The deaths registered in the Borough during 1925
numbered 2,866; but of these 696 were deaths of non-residents
who died inside the Borough. There were, however 444 residents
of Hackney who died during the year outside the Borough.
Or. making the necessary corrections, the corrected number of
deaths amongst Hackney residents is 2,614. This is an increase
of 26 upon the number of deaths occurring during 1924. The
crude general death-rate from all causes for the year 1925 is
11.4 per 1,000 of the population. On correcting this for age
and sex distribution by means of the factor .958 the general
death rate is 10..

Amongst the Registration Sub-districts the death-rate was lowest in the Central Sub-district (110 per 1,000), the highest in the South-west Sub-district (12. per 1,000).
