(b) Notices.—The number of notices served during the year
totalled 2;no of which 71 were statutory notices. The
number of notices complied with in the same period
was 379.
(c) Rat Extermination.—The Council has continued its
policy of providing a free service to householders.
Investigations of complaints have in most cases revealed
defective drainage, usually caused by enemy action.
Essential repairs were executed immediately defects
were found.
The services of the official ratcatchers were supplemented
during the year by the employmentof an
additional ratcatcher at the Corporation'sSewage
