samples taken in each sub-district of the Borough, together with
the number taken per 1,000 of population, the number adulterated,
and the percentage adulterated to the formal and informal
and to the total samples taken.

MILK.
950 samples of milk were procured for analysis during the
year.
49 or 5.1 per cent. were reported against as being adulterated
or not up to legal standard.
935 samples were purchased officially, of which 48 or 5T per
cent. were adulterated, and 15 samples purchased informally, of
which one, or 0.0 per cent., was adulterated.
28 samples were found to contain added water, 16 were
deficient in milk fat, and five contained colouring matter.
