Cancer.
The total number of deaths from Cancer and other malignant
diseases was 412, 182 of males and 230 of females. 76 of
these occurred in Clapham, 39 in Putney, 146 in Streatham, 37
in Tooting, and 114 in Wandsworth.
The corrected death-rate was 1.25 per 1,000, and for the
sub-districts as follows:—Clapham 1.24, Putney 1.35, Streatham
1.39, Tooting .95, and Wandsworth 1.20.
One of the deaths occurred under one year, one from five
and under 15 years, 36 at 25 and under 45 years, 192 at 45 and
under 65 years, and 182 over 65 years.
The number of deaths is nine above last year, and 8.8 above
the corrected decennial average.
