SALE OF FOOD AND DRUGS ACTS.
During the year ending 31st December, 1907, 1,775 samples were
taken by the Inspectors.*
The following Table shews the localities in which these samples were
taken:—

114 of these samples were certified as adulterated, a percentage
of 64. Compared with the percentage of adulteration for the previous
year a decrease of 3.4 is shewn.
Particulars of the samples taken together with the results of the
analyses are given in table 60.
* Mr. David, inspector for St. George's Ward, carried out his duties as Assistant
Inspector under the Food and Drugs Acts, at different periods, amounting to thirtythree
week days and three Sundays, during 1907.
