BAKEHOUSES.
The inspector made 484 inspections of the various bakehouses during 1907. Generally the condition of the premises was satisfactory. The following were the exceptions:—
Bakehouses dirty, and those requiring limewashing | 26 cases |

Roof and floor defective | 1 „ |
Flour store dirty | 1 „ |
Premises infested with insects | 1 „ |
Total | 33 cases |
Intimation notices were served in 6 instances and a statutory notice
in one instance. The whole of the defects were remedied.
The ordinary three-monthly certificate in respect to eating houses and other places where food is prepared for sale has been granted during the year to the undermentioned bakehouses:—
