The cost of paving works amounted to £9458 8s. 4d. for the
year, as follows :—
High Street, Shoreditch, (from Batemans Row to

There are three paviers employed in the repairs of the paved
carriageways (the greater portion of the time of one is taken up in
repairing trenches), and their wages for the year was £469 5s. 4d.;
and the amount contributed by the Companies for the repairs of
trenches was £127 2s. 3d.
The length of the roads, streets, &c., in the parish, is about
fifty-one miles; nine miles being paved, and the remainder Mc Adam
and Ballast.
