There are at present two competitors for the unused portion of the
land upon which the Hornsey Road Baths are built, viz., the School
Board for London who seek to acquire it for the erection of a school,
and the Vestry who want it for the erection of a disinfecting chamber.
The Vestry is willing to give £4,000 for the portion which consists
of a little over an acre so that the Commissioners may be congratulated
upon having made a good bargain when they purchased the whole site
for £6,000.
