STREET WATERING.
The Street Watering was done by the Vestry's
own vans. Extra horses were hired on 78 days, the
average number being 3.54. The vans were out on
156 days. 4,644,000 gallons of water were used.

The length of the streets to be watered is
approximately 20 miles; the cost per mile thus
being £30 2s. 4d.; the cost of distributing the
