SPENCER PLACE.
A shed capable of standing 12 water vans and
2 sweeping machines has been built on the land
leased by the Marquis of Northampton to the Vestry.
A dwarf wall, surmounted with iron railings, with
pair of gates, has been erected at the line of frontage
of the old entrance, and the space between such
wall and Messrs. Liversidge's entrance paved at the
joint expense of the Yestry and Messrs. Liversidge
& Co. The total cost of the works was £277 14s. 2d.
the amount paid by Messrs. Liversidge being
£41 4s. 7d.
STREET WATERING.
The Street watering was done by the Vestry's
own vans, extra horses being hired as required.

The vans were out on 97 days. 5,020,000 gallons of water were used.

20 miles; the cost per mile thus being
