Boys' Department.
Playground.—The surface of the playground has been repaired
and is now in good order.
Sundry structural repairs have been effected in the various departments
of the school but the down-spouts of the manual centre are
still in need of repair.
Girls' Department.
Heating.—During cold weather, the heating throughout the school
is inadequate. The heating arrangements should be improved.
Infants' Department.
Structure and sanitation are satisfactory. The lavatories throughout
the school have been put in good order and are now kept in a
more satisfactory state as regards their cleanliness.
St. Ignatius School (Non-Provided).
The interior and exterior of this school have been redecorated.
Classrooms.—The lighting has been improved by repainting the
walls, the dado now being of a lighter shade of green than before. In
one or two of the rooms there is no provision for cross-ventilation,
but the purity of the air is apparently not greatly impaired by this
deficiency.
Cloakrooms.—These are still somewhat damp and badly lit.
Lavatories.—These have been freshly whitewashed1 and are now
kept in a more cleanly condition.
Holy Trinity (Non-Provided).
The interior of the school has been redecorated but the dado has
again been painted a dark green colour, thus interfering with the natural
lighting.
Classrooms.—The latticed panes of the windows should be replaced
by plain glass in order to improve lighting.
Cloakroom.—This is situated in a passage and is unprovided with
any means of drying clothing.
Playground.—There is no covered shed.
