MIDDLE WARD.
Bruce Grove School.
The exterior of this school has been repainted. The interior
requires redecorating.
Boys' Department.
Classrooms.—The walls of the two end rooms are damp and this
has caused the distemper to peel off.
Lavatories.—The automatic flush for one set of W.C.'s is still
out of order necessitating hand-flushing. An indoor lavatory has not
been provided for either women or men teachers.
The playground requires re-asphalting.
Girls' Department.
A number of minor defects in this department have been rectified.
Infants' Department.
A covered shed in the playground has been provided.
Lavatories.—Four additional W.C.'s for girls are required, the
present lavatory accommodation being inadequate.
Coleraine Park School.
The exterior and interior of the school have been redecorated.
The dados have been painted a lighter shade of green.
Boys' Department.
Hall.—The roof has been repaired but is still defective and leaky
in several places.'
Lavatories.—These have been painted and limewashed, but the
limewashing process should be repeated at frequent intervals.
There is no teachers' W.C. inside the school.
Girls' Department.
The roof has been repaired.
Classrooms.—In room 4 the shutters have received attention but
do not yet close properly and cause draughts. The walls of room 5 are
of a dark colour. In this room too the windows are placed too high
up in the wall. These two conditions greatly diminish the natural lighting.
