Bakehouses.— Six bakehouses are now on the register, all of
which have been inspected at intervals during the year.
There is no underground bakehouse in the district.
A circular letter was sent in each case, twice in the year (during
March and August), to remind the occupiers of bakehouses of their
obligations respecting the cleansing and limewashing of such
premises. There has been no necessity to serve a sanitary notice to
carry out such work.
HOME WORK.
Four home-workers were notified during the year in this district.
Seven home-workers residing in the district were notified to this
Council by other Local Authorities.
SERVANTS' REGISTRIES.
(Public Health Acts Amendment Act, 1907, Section 85.)
Eight persons are registered under the above Act as carrying on
the business of keeper of a female domestic servants' registry.
MARINE STORE AND DEALERS IN OLD METAL.
(Public Health Acts Amendment Act, 1907, Section 86.)
Three persons are registered under the Act as carrying on the
business of a dealer in old metal or as a marine store dealer.
DAIRIES, COWSHEDS, AND MILKSHOPS ORDERS.
There are now 67 names on the register; only 40 of the persons
registered are, however, now carrying on business in the district,
viz.:—

Purveyors of Milk (residing in the district) 3
Purveyors of milk (residing outside the
district, but carrying on trade in the
