We have been notified 5 times, by the Chief Inspector of
Factories of nuisances existing in Workshops calling for abatement.
Slaughter-houses.—There are 15 Registered or Licensed
Slaughter Houses in the Borough, and during the year 86 inspections
have been made. On no occasion was unsound or
diseased meat discovered by the Council's Inspectors.
The Slaughter Houses generally throughout the Borough
may be said to be in a satisfactory condition. Attention has
been given to cleansing of the premises and utensils.
The annual licenses have been renewed and no complaints
have been lodged in respect of the Slaughter Houses.

Borough :—

330, Katherine Road.
86, Plashet Grove.
32a, Plashet Lane.
638, Romford Road.
28, Station Road.

Shaftesbury Road.
24, Wakefield Street.
65, Whitta Road.
Forest View Farm.
Collection of House Refuse.—During the year 1909, 13,409
loads of House Refuse were collected from the houses in the
Borough, as compared with 13,595 for the year 1908.
