Sewer ventilating shafts, 25ft. high, were
erected in Willenhall Avenue and Oakhurst Avenue,
and a rectangular pipe was, with the owner's consent,
erected against the flank of a house in Brunswick
Crescent.
Allotments.—Twenty acres of land at Cat Hill
were, with the consent of the Local Government Board,
acquired for Allotments, for which there appeared to
be considerable demand. Applications have been
received for the renting of about one half of this land.
Allotments at Farm.—About 2½ acres of
land situate on the high portion of the Irrigation Farm,
and not available for sewage irrigation, have been let
as allotments to residents in the neighbourhood of
Brunswick Park.
Road Sweepings.—Application was made to the
Local Government Board, and after local inquiry
sanction was given by them to the use of about 2½
acres of land in the middle of the Allotment Ground,
Cat Hill, for the purpose of a tip for road sweepings.
House Refuse.—This is collected weekly. A
daily collection is made from certain shops in the
centre of the district.
The Manager of the Boys Farm Home, where for
some considerable period formerly the house refuse was
tipped, having intimated that he could not dispose of
