The much needed improvement of widening at the New

improvement, and remove the present dangerous
condition of the road.
The County Council replied that they had no
funds at their disposal for the purpose.

sewers have been constructed in Albert Road and
Taylor's Lane, where none previously existed.
Drainage.—The Trustees of the Children's Home

outside the Council's district, agreed upon terms with
the Council to allow them to connect the drains of the
Hospital with the Council's sewer.
Pine Cottage, Hadley.—The reconstruction
of the old sewer receiving the drainage of this house
and Hadley Brewery, was completed.
The rain water was taken by separate drains to
the surface water sewers, from 29 houses which
formerly discharged into the foul water sewers.
