The amount deposited for the execution of these works
was £214 2s. l0d.
URINAL.
A new four-stalled cast iron urinal with glazed stoneware
backs has been fixed in Great Charlotte Street by Blackfriars
Road, this has replaced the very old and defective urinal which
formerly stood under the South Eastern Railway Bridge in
Blackfriars Road. The water tanks flush automatically as
required.
UNDERGROUND CONVENIENCE.
The underground convenience at the west end of Southwark
Street was opened to the public on the 6th October last, and
has continued to be open since that date. The whole of the
fittings, electric light and the ventilating fan have worked
satisfactorily since the opening of the structure.
