This Board has resolved to plant trees next autumn on either side
of the Blackfriars Road, between Charlotte Street and the southern
boundary, in continuation of those planted by St. George's Vestry.

This Board has, on the application of St. George's Vestry,
resolved to co-operate with that Vestry in a joint application to
the Metropolitan Board of Works for the adoption of a transverse
in lieu of the present longitudinal boundary line at the junction of
the two parishes in the Southwark Bridge Road, for the purposes
of paving, watering, and cleansing, pursuant to Section 140 of the
Metropolis Local Management Act.
Improvements.
Improvements have been made by arrangement with the owners
for the setting back of the line of frontage of King Henry VIII
Head public house in Union Street, and an angle of the wall of the
School Board premises in Great Guildford Street.

disease.
This Board has resolved to co-operate with the Lewisham Board
of Works and other Vestries and Boards in memorializing the Local
Government Board, for the purpose of giving effect to certain
resolutions passed by the Society of Medical Officers of Health, as
follows:—
That in the opinion of the Society, whenever a case of infections disease
occurs in any house or vessel it should be a legal obligation on the
person in charge of the house or vessel, or on the person in charge of
the case, to report the fact to the sanitary authority without delay.
That it should be a legal obligation on every medical practitioner in
attendance on any such case to give immediate written information
respecting its nature to the occupier or other person responsible for
reporting it to the sanitary authority.
Drinking
Fountains.
On the application of Mr. Lee, the secretary of the Drinking
Fountains Association, this Board has agreed to contribute a
moiety of the cost of supplying the fountains in this district with
water, such cost not to exceed 12s. 6d. per fountain per annum.
Cleansing,
Dusting,
and Water
???ing.
The Board, as will be seen on reference to the list of contracts
at page 39, has arranged with the contractors for an extension of
their several contracts for cleansing and dusting from the 1st March
to the 24th June on the terms therein stated ; also for a renewal of
tho contract with Mr. Reddin for watering on the same terms as
last year. Tenders have lately been received from Mr. Batch for
execution of the cleansing and dusting for three years from the
