The areas have been relaid by the Vestry at the expense of the
companies, the total amount receivable therefrom being £1,599 3s. 9d.
VAULTS UNDER FOOTWAY.
Owing to the large number of applications to construct vaults,
extending in many cases for a considerable distance into the street,
the Vestry have decided to limit the projection so as not to exceed
two-thirds of the width of the footway. Regulations as to height
and method of construction are also under your consideration, which
if adopted, will for the future greatly facilitate the consideration of
similar applications.
