On the 30th July, in response to your instructions, I submitted an
exhaustive statement of the wages paid to the Vestry's employees,
together with a schedule of wages paid by other Vestries and
District Boards, upon the consideration of which your Vestry decided
that for the future the wages be paid as per above rates, and the
working hours be, in summer from 6 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. aud in winter
from 7 a m. to 5.30 p.m.
CONCLUSION.
I have in the foregoing Report, entered into matters more
minutely than in my report of last year, by giving descriptions of
the works as well as mere statistics of what has been done, thinking
that by so doing, the Members of the Vestry will be more interested
in the perusal of what would otherwise be a somewhat uninteresting
report.
I have the honour to be,
Gentlemen,
Your obedient Servant,
C1IAS. MASON, Assoc. M. Inst. C.E., A.R.I.B.A., etc.,
Surveyor to the Vestry.

St. Maktin's Place,
