A deodorizing box has been fixed to the sewer in Duke Street,
Adelphi.
The cost of this work has been £18 18s. 2d.
SEWERS.
In December last a new 3' 9" x 2' 6" brick sewer was constructed
in Great Newport Street in place of the then existing one
which was in a very dilapidated condition.
This sewer being on the boundary line between St. Martin's
Parish and the Strand District Board of Works area is a joint
sewer, arrangements were therefore made for it to be constructed
by the Board, this vestrv paying a moiety of the cost amounting
to £199 18s. 0d.
PUBLIC URINALS.
The urinals throughout the parish have been furnished with a
self-acting intermittent supply of water, and painted throughout.
New channels have also been laid down of white glazed channelling,
and the standings have been paved with white glazed tiles.
Plates have also been fixed in each stall offering a reward of
10s. lor evidence leading to the conviction of any person found
posting bills, and otherwise damaging the urinals.

The total cost of this maintenance inclusive of the above alterations is as follows:—
