DISINFECTING.
The gullies and market streets were regularly disinfected
duringesummer months. The disinfectants used for all
purposes amounted to 2,358 gallons of sanitary fluid,
costing £235 16s. Od.
URINALS.
All the Urinals in the Parish are fitted up on the trough
system, and flushed automatically. Excluding the Conveniences
at Piccadilly Circus, the water has cost £86 1s. 4d.
A constant supply of water is laid on to all the Urinals
in the Parish.
The cost of alterations and repairs have been £87 1s. 10d.,
and cleansing £68 4s. The repairs were principally
making good wilful damage caused by persons unknown,
and repairing and re-pointing brickwork of Vine Street
Urinal, and repairing the tiling of Wells Street Urinal.
PICCADILLY LAVATORIES.
The cost of general repairs to the Lavatories was
£149 6s. 8d.; gas, including that consumed in the large
lamps outside, £103 7s. 7d.; water, £168 2s. 6d.
The supply of hot water in the Men's Lavatory being
found insufficient to meet the demand, an additional waterheater
of Fletcher's make has been fixed.
In consequence of several accidents having occurred
through people falling down the steps at the men's entrance,
your Vestry decided to alter the entrance so as to form a
landing, and turn a few steps down from the street, thereby
