are placed under the exclusive management of the Vestries of
St. James and St. George, Hanover Square respectively, throughout
the entire width thereof, instead of according to the actual
Parish boundary, viz.:— Regent Street, Piccadilly, Burlington
Gardens, St. James's Street, and Park Place. No payment is
made by either Vestry to the other under this order, the exchange
of area being regarded as an equivalent. An arrangement has
been made with the Vestry of St. Martin-in-the-Fields for the

understanding with the Board of Works for the Strand District, the
Vestry cleanse and maintain the whole width of Wardour Street as

work will be defrayed from current rates. Nearly all the leading
thoroughfares in the Parish are now paved with wood.

paving during the past year, and as regards the south end of
St. James's Street, the Vestry have agreed to entertain the matter,
on the residents concerned contributing one moiety of the cost.
The consideration of other cases has been indefinitely deferred, but

The Vestry have decided to pave the carriageways of Silver
