An order has also been passed by the Metropolitan Board of
Works for the re-numbering, under the name "Foubert's Place," of
the line of houses formerly known as Foubert's Place, Tyler
Street, Tyler's Court, and part of Marshall Street.
In the month of November last the Metropolitan Board of
Works informed the Vestry that they had received a representation

re-numbering the whole line of thoroughfare. It appeared to the
Vestry that this course would be of public advantage, and the Board
were informed accordingly. The Vestry of St. Martin-in-theFields,
however, objected to the proposed alteration, Pall Mall East
being within their jurisdiction, and the Board therefore took no
further action in the matter.
