A length of 182 feet of 15-inch pipe drain, with man hole and flushing box, has
been laid through Robert Street, Jamaica Level, to Matson Street, to take the drainage
of the new houses erected in the latter street at the cost of the Owner of the Property.
The houses Nos. 9 to 17 both inclusive, Commercial Place, Plough Road, have
been drained by a combined operation into the sewer in Plough Road, at the cost of
the Owners.
Paving Work.
The following materials have been used in repairing the Roads during the year
ended 25th March, 1872, viz.:—

Paving Jobbing Works
Mr. William Ethieridge, of Stanley Terrace, Rotherhithe, obtained the Contract
for the execution of the Paving Jobbing Works, at a schedule prices.
Improvement Works.
The south end of Forsyth Street, has been widened and improved, by the removal
of the projecting Shed and Fence there, and by throwing the site thereof into the
Public Way, at a cost to the Vestry, (including purchase of ground, making up road
and paving the footways) of £49 8 3.
