639, and the maximum number 875. To this must
be added the enormous number that have used the
urinals, of which no record is kept. In order to
ascertain the total number of men only who frequented
their portion of the Lavatory in one week, viz., December
17th, a record was taken, and it was found
that 10,043 passed down the stairs, giving a dailyaverage
of 1,435.
