The official return of the number of persons using the W.C.'s and the Lavatory during the year ending March, and for which a charge of one penny is made in either case, is as follows : —

In order to obtain an approximate estimate of the
number of persons using the Convenience generally,
the Attendants enumerated them for three days, as
under :—

The eleven public urinals in the Parish, which are
above-ground, are kept in order by workmen for that
purpose.
New Buildings.
Large residential flats are in course of erection, one
at the corner of Maida Yale and Blomfield Road, and one
in Hereford Road, adjoining the "Princess Royal"
public-house. The one in Elgin Avenue, by Lanhill
Road, has stabling in the basement portion thereof.
Two extensive buildings have been erected as
Furniture Depositories, one in Harrow Road, South
side, for Messrs. Dixon & Haynes, and the other for
