Maintenance of Footways and Channels.
In the month of January, 1890, I was instructed
to prepare an Approximate Estimate of the cost of
putting the footways in a complete state of repair.
With this view, an estimate was made of about 70 of
the streets that greatly needed attention, and in April
the Vestry determined to carry out this work, passing
the following resolution:—
"That the footways referred to in pages 7, 8,
"and 9 of the Report be put in a proper
