REPORT, 1890-91.
XXX. Quinquennial Re-Assessment,
The Assessment Committee reported on the 31st
October, 1890, that they had attended 31 meetings,
and heard and determined 3,554 Appeals (reductions
being made in 1,444 cases); also that Messrs.
Dobbin & Cooke had succeeded in arranging, on a
fair and equitable basis, the assessments relating to
the works belonging to the Public Companies.
Three Appeals were made to Assessment Sessions,
and are still pending.

Rateable Values of the old and new Assessments of
the properties in question:—
