BOROUGH OF PADDINGTON.
sewer, thirteen hundred and fifty feet in length, and
3.9" × 2.6" sectional area, together with the required
side entrances and manholes giving access thereto, also
air-openings for ventilation, have been constructed by
and at the cost of Mr. Cooper, of Errington Road,
Builder.
A Brick Sewer, six hundred and forty feet in length
and 3.9" × 2.6" sectional area, also side entrances and
air-openings have been constructed in Bravington Road,
extending from Shirland Road to Marban Road, at the
expense of Mr. Seaman, of Ashmore Road, Builder.
In Denholme Road, between Saltram Crescent and
Fernhead Road, Mr. E. Vigers has constructed at his
expense a Brick Sewer, four hundred and fifty-two
feet in length, and 3.9" × 2.6" sectional area, together
with side entrance, manhole and air openings. Houses
are now being erected in this street, and many of them
already drain directly into the sewer.
These Sewers were constructed under the supervision
of the Vestry's officers.
From time to time complaints were made to the
Sanitary and Public Health Committee by some of the
occupiers of houses in Coburg Place, Bayswater Road,
respecting the defective system of drainage of their
premises, which to a great extent caused them much
annoyance and inconvenience in consequence of most
of the drains being in combination, and carried through
